I have a palm TX. It's a great PDA! It works just fine to go on-line either at my house or at an airport hotspot etc. It has wireless built in - no extra cards to buy. It also has bluetooth and wireless synch with my laptop. I am however seriously considering selling my TX and getting a Palm 700P smart-phone - less bulk to carry than a PDA and a cell phone.
I agree with dashwarts, it leaves a lot to be desired for web browsing - screen is too small for extended viewing of websites.
That's my opinion, hope it helps . . . . . . .

It can already use the wireless network you have, but it isn't really good for web browsing (good for IMing though).

If you're going to surf the web, it'd be better to buy a used laptop and a wireless card for it.
