It will be worth much more to your grandchildren than the few bucks you may sell it for.
Save it or give it to a family member who will.

As a 25 year Marine Corps Vet, I still have my dress blues and I retired in 76. I have been offered over 1000.00 for them but I just won;t sell. My wife says that when I pass, she is going to bury me with that uniform. And I say ok. Your dads uniform is a peice of your life. To put a price on it is just a shame. I say keep it for old times sake. I also have an M1 made by Singer Corp. Very rare rifle. I have been offered a ton for it, but I am going to give to my son when the time is right. It's already his, in my will.

How could you place a monetary value on a part of your families history?
Your Dad was most likely very proud of his service to our country and our freedoms.
You should hold on to it for your children and grandchildren in the future.
My Dad served in WWII, and there were things that he saw during that time that he could not repeat to me without getting tears in his eyes, fifty years later. I do have his service papers and dress uniform hats and his medals, but not his uniform; I don't really know what happened to it.
If you do not have children or grandchildren that would appreciate it, you could have it displayed at a local museum in tribute to your Dad, and all the other service people out there who have put their very lives on the line for us in all the wars in the world.

Find a military museum to donate it to.... yes it could be worth something... especially if there is a good story to go with it.... do you know your fathers service record?... where did he serve.... do you have the service ribbons and commendations to go with it... if you have all the attachments and stories it is worth more as history
