probably have her period and is really mad. is 13 too young to wear a tampon?? she hasn't asked me or my mom yet, but should i suggest it?? i wore pads til i was like 15.. i'm 19, but is 13 too early for tampons?? i don't think she'll use them other than the vacation though. thanks!

If she feels like she is ready then why not? Tampons aren't dirty and they don't make you more slutty they are just so much more convenient. Just let her know that TSS can happen and that if it hurts your not doing it right... O and have fun in Mexico!

Any alternative is great... At any age you have the option of wearing either 1, so if she is used to pads then let her where those, because being away from home may not be the best place to find that she doesn't like tampons, let her experiment and she will find what is best for her. But no I do NOT think 13 is too young, she will be fine if she chooses and is comfortable with wearing them

I started wearing tampons when I was 12, and my sister was 10. You could wear tampons from the very first period if you wanted to. There is also another thing called "Instead", which looks sortof like a diaphram but is a cup that catches "everything".

there is no age limit to when u should wear tampons. my sister wear them when she was 10 or 11. there is nothing wrong with wearing them at 13.

No, not at all. Just be sure to explain to her that she shouldn't leave them in for lengthy periods of time and to wear a pad at night.
Nothing will happen to her from wearing them...

I don't see any problems with it. Be a sweetheart and help her with questions or her anxieties if she has any. She might feel more comfortable talking to you than mom if the two of you are close.

If she has her period, regardless of age she can use a tampon.

Ask her if she wants to, then talk to your mom about it. She should be able to enjoy her vacation, especially to Mexico!

no not too early. should be fine, but she should try inserting them before she goes cuz it can be hard to do the first try
