They should be. Everyone should be. We shouldn't have anyone dying over there. We shouldn't be there. What a worthless conflict.

In reading your question and its answers, it makes me actually very sad that Americans, no matter their party, can think that other Americans would wish for more deaths just so they could be proven right. That's just wrong to say and even suggest.

Please, consider the following scenario. You have a neighbor that's a Democrat, and you aren't close friends, but cordial to each other, and you knew they were against the surge and felt we needed to take different action in Iraq. Do you REALLY think as you both watch the news in your separate homes that you have a different reaction to the report of less deaths than they do? Do you really think they are grumbling under their breath because more didn't die, just to prove their point? If so, you need to think about how far you are taking your political beliefs that you can attribute ghoulishness to half our population simply because you've taken your own hatred too far in support of a political party. When we start accusing our political rivals of something as ridiculous as being angry because more haven't died, it's time to put up the remote and go fishing until our heads straighten out.

This is very good news-they're planning a new oil refinery which was hard to build previously.

KARBALA, Iraq, March 14 (UPI) -- The Iraq oil ministry has told leaders in Karbala Province it will build a 140,000 barrels per day oil refinery.

The Voices of Iraq news agency reports construction dates have not been set, but the head of the provincial council announced the refinery will be built.

"The oil minister informed the provincial council during his visit to Karbala two days ago that the ministry agreed to build a large refinery in the province," Abdul-Al al-Yasseri said.

"The oil ministry announced the project tender and is waiting for bids by international companies," he said.

Also this: U.S. soldiers rolled into Sadr City on March 4 primed and pumped for a fight with the notorious Mahdi Army militia of radical anti-U.S. cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.

Instead of snipers and roadside bombs, the Americans found an even bigger problem — a vast, crowded slum where years of misery and government neglect have created conditions for the militias to thrive.

U.S. soldiers worry that unless things improve — and soon — the people of Sadr City will quickly tire of the foreigners’ presence.

“There are a lot of days when I’m like, ’It’s going to take a miracle to make this work,”’ said 1st Lt. Jacob Czekanski of the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment as he stared at a soccer field surrounded by trash. “We will always be viewed as outsiders here.”

Rain S,
And the questions of your conspiracy nutcase brethren are not beyond the pale of stupidity? Lay off the insults and stick to answering the question.

Now, to actually answer the question, I do not think the demoncrats are angry at all. They're so busy fighting about how to surrender they haven't any time to pay attention to any good news coming out of Iraq. But it does show that we are winning, contrary to the lunatic left's rhetoric.

They get upset at any positive news that reaches past the screen the liberal media puts up. Naturally good news for the rest of the country is bad news for liberals. They do not understand honor and pride.

The Democrats are praying for increased American deaths so they can say "see, we told you it wouldn't work."

So, yes. The more America stumbles in Iraq, the happier Democrats and Liberals are.

And don't even deny it. Don't tell my you shriveled Liberal hearts didn't sink when you heard good news about Iraq.

I'm just so glad I'm not a liberal. I would hate to wake up every day in hope to hear bad news so that I could pound my fist and sarcastically say, "See, I told you so." It really is amazing to listen to the media news reports. They can take the most insignificant thing and blow it up into a catastrophe.

I'm so glad I'm on the "right" side.

They don't care anymore than the Republicans care. It is all about power and money and influence and who gets what. That is why Pelosi caved into George Bush. So she could get something she wanted - attention from him.

Yep, just like they are ticked off at the good economy news.
They thrive on negativism, doom and gloom.
