I drive on my driveway, its a loooooong driveway and I park in my garage. And if you park on the parkway, you might get your car smashed so watch out.

Everything seems to be aft hassed backwards!
I guess for the same reason clocks run clockwise.
The simple answer is because that's the way it is. The long answer... who in there right mind would attempt to explain something so trivial, it is a waste of time it won't change anything any how.
