I'm a lawyer and do it solely for the paycheck. I've yet to met anyone who honestly enjoyed it and didn't want to do something else. Does anyone like this job (paycheck aside)?

My aunt is a lawyer and she does enjoy it (even though she's stressed out all the time from the long hours). Her daughter is following her footsteps and is about to graduate law school and she enjoys it so far!

I wanted to be a lawyer, half through law school I realized, that the real world and the real "Law and Order" is even more discouraging than the movies makes as believe it is.
So I quit, and I never regretted this decision.
Innocent until proven guilty is a joke and I didn't want to participate in it.

I have met a couple of lawyers in my business who were in the same position you are in. They were working so many hours, getting paid nice, but hated it. One even owned multiple law firms and after over 20 years got out of it, into the same business I am in. So, if that helps!

Yep. $$$ aside, occasionally I get to help people who really need it.
Also, I get to screw over people who try to mess with me. I love seeing the expression on their faces when they realize they are ruined, and I go up and ask them "Remember when I told you not to mess with me?" Priceless, you can't buy that kind of happiness.

I know my bosses do! They handle pretty much anything but med mal and they love it.
