this is a very serious issue.
some may think nothing of your question. But it is an issue that needs to be tackled now by all of the country, the sooner the better.
local councils are at this moment asset stripping your cities, anything of saleable value is being sold. and worse still auctioned.
what happens when they spend all the money raised from stripping your city bare, and giving away what the tax payer has paid for over many years.
Simple they increase the taxes.
It is getting beyond a joke, not only do they strip your assets. they increase their own salary and expenses for above any wage increase you could expect.
In the UK. for many many years the tax payer has been paying heavily for Ministry of Defence Land.
It is being asset stripped and sold to private developers, and therefore. Land that could benefit whole cities becomes no go areas. Private Land. that are parents and their parents have paid for many times over.
Who should you complain to>> you need to get organised. write to every media company in the UK and start pressure groups. And the honest people of the UK should stand united, and fight for our decaying freedoms.
And put an end to this ridiculous situation.
If no one stands up. then we are all to blame when This once United Kingdom starts to crumble and all hell brakes loose

What party runs the Council? Check carefully if you live under a two tier system. My District Council put their up by a modest amount and my County Council by more than double the inflation rate.
In the local election is May (for the district) vote against whatever party put the rate up the most. More than likely this will be the Lib Dems.

Your MP, but he/she won't do a darn thing about it. Council tax is shockingly expensive. I live in a good neighbourhood but the rubbish is piling up in the street because the council only collects every two weeks now and the recycling lorry seems to have disappeared totally. What do they spend my money on ?!?!?!?!

I suggest your local representative member and then possibly consider talking with the BNP- they are very community oriented and one of the very few institutions around opposed to excessive taxation.
