First of all just because you owe them money, you do not need to live with them. What you should do in my opinion is move out, get them paid off, and last of all cut all ties until they need something from you. Let the come to you.

Oweing money doesnt mean ppl can lie to you about you call you names or abuse you. If your husband cant or wont stand up to them its time to move. Take your money and move out, pay them a little each month. If your paying them something each month theres nothing they can do about it even if its $5. If my in laws were calling me a liar after I was done telling them off they would throw me out, and Id have the money to go. If your husband doesnt see things your way then maybe you should move home with your parents or get a little place of your own and let him stay with mommy and daddy.

Interesting. I would say something to your husband, and if he refuses to say anything to them about it, rightfully so you should call them on it. Make sure you give examples of things and if possible dates and times. If you don't have anything now; then go start, that way you'll have the proof you need to back yourself up. This will either change their tune or nothing at all. If nothing changes, go about your business and do your best to ignore and stay out of their way. Thankfully your situation isn't permanent. PLUS; you will be letting them know you won't be taking their treatment anymore and plan to give it back. That's a respect issue which they don't have any for either one of you it sounds like.

move out and tell them you lied about repaying the loan they gave you. i mean if you are going to be accused of lying you might as well prove them right and then you'll have money to live on our own and wont have to deal with them at all or you can tell your husband to grow a back bone and speak up!!

Next time they lie to you, call them on it and confront them! Simple. Since you owe them $, it is unlikely that they will boot out to the street and if they do, don't pay them back.

catch them in the lie and confront them head on. if the lie concerns a third party then have that third party there and then ask the inlaws just what they said again. then sit back and watch it all unfold. its called karma....what goes around....comes around.

I have been in your shoes. I hate that for you. There is really nothing you can do. Once a liar, always a liar. I just hope it does not rub off onto your spouse. My spouse was a big liar too.

I guess this will teach you NOT to borrow money you can't repay huh? Your only recourse would be to move whether you can afford it or not. Because obviously your husband doesn't have backbone enough to stick up for YOU.

No it doesn't you and your husband need to move out of their house with the quickness. That atmosphere doesn't sound healthy.
