Three days if I remember correctly. Excitingly, they also live that long inside the crevices in your upper vagina.

I recently talked to my doctor about trying to conceive. He said the average healthy young male (meaning before 40) only takes a day to restore their sperm. I've heard it's 48 hours, but my doctor said there's not much difference between 60 million and 30 million. It only takes 1 to fertilize an egg!

I know that if you are getting ready to do a donation to fertilize an egg for an IVF cycle, the fertility clinic will typically want you to have sex or ejaculate about 2 days before the donation and not have any more ejaculations after that. So I'd guess that it takes about 48 hours for a man to fully restock his supplies after a purge.

I have heard that it is best to wait 2 or 3 days between ejaculations to store up sperm cells...

Basically 12 hours. Faster if you sleep and eat well. 24-48 hours is optimal, but after that your sperm resevoirs will be at their maximum (depending on how stimulated or aroused you are)
