You would be looking for either a job in government service or in an advocacy organisation working with governments.

For the former, you should contact the civil service recruitment for your home country; international bodies like the EU and the UN recruit their staff from the civil servants of their member countries. If a UK citizen you would contact the Foreign & Common Office http://www.fco.gov.uk or whatever the equivalent is in your home country.

If you want to work for an NGO or advocacy organisation it could be something like Oxfam or Amnesty International. Only you know which cause appeals to you most. You would then have to check out their websites for job ads.

A third route to building up your CV might be to volunteer as an intern in the office of a politician who has the foreign affairs portfolio. In the UK http://www.w4mp.org is a good source of such placements.

Good luck

If you've got as far as qualifying for an MA, surely you should have thought about this beforehand. No offence is intended by this comment.

PS You could try applying for the Diplomatic Service, United Nations, or an international aid agency.

I am virtually clueless on the subject, but the United Nations would be something possible if you are the skilled in it.

If you spoke foreign languages, the employment of an interpreter would be highly encouraged.
