Sigmund Freud concluded that each individual's personality is made up of three parts: the id, which consists of biological urges, such as hunger and thirst. The ego is the thoughtful, decision-making part of the personality. For example, if the id urged you to eat, the ego would help you find food. The superego is the part of the personality that judges right and wrong, or what you might refer to as your conscience. For example, the superego would direct you not to steal the food that your id urges you to eat.
He believed people's minds operate at two levels of thought: conscious and unconscious.

Psychoanalysis. He was basically one of the first and best known psychiatrists and developed the practice of listening beside the "couch" and interpretation of dreams. He wrote about sexuality a lot and that's why people talk about his theories, they are interesting. He was fascinating if you want to research all the methods of analysis he initially developed.
