What should I use to scrap off the residue on the glass door? The rough back end of a sponge doesn't work!

A razor blade will remove soap scum and hard water deposits. But, if hard water has etched it the deposits are permanent. You can make your job easier by spraying the surface with Tilex or CLR to loosen the deposits before razoring.

If it's scale or lime that has been deposited there due to hard water, look for a product called CLR - It does a pretty good job with calcium and lime deposits, and rust stains, hence the name. You can keep it in place longer by soaking paper towels with the stuff, and plastering them against the surface.

Shame you let the residue build up in the first place. When you HAVE found something to clean it off (sorry I don't know what), wipe it dry after every shower, so it won't happen again.

I do believe the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will work; it works on the soap scum and whatnot in my tub. Brilliant Product!

not too many people know about this. get a tube of white toothpaste and aqueeze it on the door. then wipe it off and then rinse it off. this also works on bathtubs too.

C.L.R. works with a little elbow grease but using a squeegee after showers helps a lot.

Try a rubbing compound that is used for car body work (not too coarse though)
