And if you disagree, why?

I don't smoke, but I don't get the opposition to legalization at least in this narrow area, and I'd like to understand it.

Thank you!

Sorry, that should have read 'and if you agree with the court, please say why'.

We citizens of the United States should have a lot more freedom than we do...it's amazing how other countries think we have all this magical freedom.

No I do NOT agree. I think that if ANYTHING helps a dying person feel better...have at it!!!

I think that most people, may be a good 99.9% never actually research anything. They simply jump on the band wagon and go from there. Ignorance is a huge reason behind many peoples reasoning. This is what my family has done, believes, etc., etc., and that is all they base it on. I rarely ever come across anyone who will take the time and start thinking outside the box. I don't know if they fear new thoughts and ideas, or what but, it's sad.

The people in power are so conserved and are making sure that they keep putting on a tighter and tighter grip on us, that soon "the land of the free" will no longer be true.

Instead of moving forward, we are moving backwards. And as the lovely Prozac nation that we are... we don't seem to care. It seems that as long as it is not you or someone you love that needs the medicinal marijuana or whatever else it might be... it is simply not worth your time to care, try to change things, or at the very least attempt to learn more about the subject at hand.

It wouldn't surprise me. I had a very unhappy childhood, for a start, followed by a very unhappy marriage. A couple of broken heart episodes, with a few run ins with my parents-in-law (they could be hateful) and my life at the moment is on a very even keel. But yes, occasionally I do cry. I don't cry for paltry reasons though - I don't find tears fix anything. The only movie I ever shed a tear over was Love Story, and that was a million years ago. I hate losing control and as I said, I don't find that the problem gets solved, and I don't feel better after the release of tears. But that's me ...

I strongly disagree with the court. I think if someone is truly dying, either from a horrible disease or old age, they should be able to take anything they want, especially if the Dr. prescribes it. I mean, so what difference does it make if they do become addicted, if it helps ease their pain. This should go for anyone who is in lots of pain from a chronic illness.

I disagree with the court. Medical and recreational use of marijuana needs to be recognized as two very different things. I know someone that has MS, and medical marijuana did wonders for her, now that she can't take it she is once again bed-ridden and her condition is deteriorating. Reading the article, and hearing the suffering this lady goes through is really disheartening and I think the court needs to reexamine its findings.

Disagree. Half the drugs coming out of the pharamaceuticals companies are ineffective and some are ineffective and downright dangerous. At least marijuana is not a dangerous drug. Seems to me if the pharamaceuticals could figure out a way to market and patent marijuana, it would be legal soon enough.

i completely disagree with the court's decision. it's appalling that they're prosecuting a very ill woman who is just trying to have a better quality of life. i find it disgusting that our country won't legalize medical marijuana, because this country is being run by closed minded conservatives that refuse to acknowledge the drug's benefits. as long as marijuana isn't helping fill the pockets of pharmeceutical companies, it will never be approved.

I strongly disagree.

Don't you think it's odd that people milk welfare and SS for lots of money with the help of crooked doctors, but when a person is dying and there is a relatively cheap and natural remedy that helps with the symptoms, they can't get it?

It's all about money, and the pharmaceutical giants don't want medical marijuana to take from their profits.

I do not agree with the court. They apparently have doctoral degrees in medicine and know more than her own physicians which disgusts me.
So they in their infinite stupidity will let a human being suffer so they can say they kept "weed" from someone. Who blind can they be?
Where are the "activist" judges that Bush is always ranting about when you need them? No where to help this woman it seems

The court found that she can be prosecuted for it, not that she was found guilty of anything. Yet.

She wanted to argue that as a dying person she should be above the law and it didn't fly with the judges. Go figure.
