Yes I would try and return the wallet to the owner. But track them down yourself. Do not trust anyone else to do this. I once found a wallet on an airplane and gave it to the flight attendant to give back to its owner. Instead the flight attendant took money for himself then found the owner. I tried to report it but all the flight attendants stuck together and even threatened to sue me and the owner of the wallet for harassment and something else.

I'd take 20 bucks as a handling charge. No I wouldn't , I'd give it back- You know, if there was a strip club near where I found the wallet, I'd visit the club, No I couldn't do that either!! My conscience is already speaking to me- I'd just give it all back!!

Yes I would hand in a wallet. But I have found on a few occasions, 20 dollars laying on the ground and took it.

Of course I would hand it in! Not only because it's the right thing to do, but I have had my wallet stolen and the amount of time it takes to replace credit cards, driving license, and anything else you carry in your wallet is outrageous! Good for you for doing the right thing!!

I would. i think the law says if you find anything up to £20 you're not obliged to hand it in (obviously just a £20 not a wallet with cards etc), but anything more then you're stealing.

you have to think
: what happens when u lose your wallet
yep, u are PISSED OFF
you have to cancel your bank cards, credit cards, get a new lisence, new ids, you have to get all the new cards and pin numbers sent out,
its hell, id hand it in,, in hope that one day when i lose my wallet theyd do the same for me, even if the money was gone, as long as i didnt have to get all the ids again and etc

I would, because one day that could be you who lost your wallet. You would want someone to do the same for you. Now if it was just money and no idenity ,keep it and keep moving.
