march madness first round upsets?

Question

I don't care if it's an 9 over an 8, i want to know what upsets are going to take place in the first rounds of the tourny. if you want you can give me a few second round ones too.

gimme some reasons or a good source.

Winthrop and Gonzaga.

Winthrop has been in the tourny for years and hasn't won a game yet. But this is the highest seed they have had in recent years and came close last year in Round 1 as a 15. I expect at least one win.

Gonzaga might not have an Adam Morrison-like player this year but they're always good for a win or two (three if they get lucky).

11 Winthrop over 6 Notre Dame. Both of these teams were seeded far lower than they should have been, but Winthrop cracked the Top 25 at the end of the season and has been playing very well lately, winning 17 in a row going into the tournament. They have also played top tier teams close, most notably Wisconsin in Madison (82-79 loss in OT).

-Long Beach State over Tennessee-tennessee is overrated
-Villanova over Kentucky-villanova is better
-Michigan State vs Marquette-marquettes leading scorer won't play

2nd round:
-Louisville over Texas A&M-Louisville wil be at home, and is a tough team.
-Nevada over Memphis-Memphis overrated-Nevada underrated
-Vanderbilt over Wash. St.-same reason as Nevada/Memphis
