love toward love: when a man fancies a woman who fancies him back. It's a happy good thing, like study time is over and it's time to go out with the mates!
Love from love: when a man fancies a woman who doesn't fancy him back. It's a bad feeling and bothersome like having to go poring over books when you'd rather be out having fun.

I think it means: "You go to meet the person with whom you're in love eagerly, like a kid running away from his homework...but you leave the person with whom you're in love with as much reluctance as a kid going sadly to school."

When love beckons, you RUSH to meet it (like schoolboys running FROM their homework)...but, when you're LEAVING your love, you do so unwillingly and with remorse.
