Tax refunds aren't sent by any sort of tracked or registered mail, so the post office won't be able to tell you where it is, but might be able to tell you how long it usually takes for forwarded mail to reach you. CRA will eventually be able to tell you if it has been cashed. If you don't receive it, you'll need to call and start the process for a new one to be issued, which involves swearing an affidavit that you didn't get the cheque.

By the way, change your address with CRA as well; if the cheque goes back to them, then they will have a new address to send it to; the mail forwarding information you give to Canada Post doesn't go to CRA.

I am not sure. Did you fill out a change of address form?

Also, for next year tax time, you should have your refund directly deposited into your bank account. Saves you the headache of waiting for it in the mail, and gives you the peace of mind of not having your check lost and/or stolen.
