David Peal or David Peel from the 60's he had a whole album on the subject and the cover was a big pot leaf.

A group from the '60' s called David Peel and the Lower East Side.
On a personal note I was hitchhiking and he gave me a ride . I think he was driving an MG or an MGB-GT
The reason I remember is that the MG's had 3 windshield wipers -rather unusual
