okay im trying to raise my gpa which is 1.533 and im retaking a math class that is 4 hours and i recieved an f in it. right now i have a b and im trying to figure out my gpa.. please help

i want to know how to calcaulate my gpa with the new grade that i would be getting in my math class because my gpa would be higher...

i have also taken 13 credit hours last semester and now i this semester i am taking 14 hours...

You need to check to see if the grade replaces or is averaged with the old grade.
If it replaces the grade then you take each one of your class grades and multiply that grade by the hours then add them up and divide by the total hours.
3hr class with an A (4.0) or 3x 4.0= 12
next class and so on. then divide by total hours. Good luck on the retaking of the math class.

We would need more specifics about all the previous credits and classes you took to determine how much impact the B (3.0) would have on the 1.533. Have you taken 2 classes so far or 20 classes? That will determine how much weight the B will have. Most likely the 1.533 won't move very much, especially if you're a senior.

well, you get a zero for that F.
Then you get 3 points for the B.

Unless that F is taken off your transcript, the B isn't going to help you that much.
