They're quite a large club but in the last few seasons have been having a tough time. They're currently at the bottom of the Championship League (the 2nd of the 4 main leagues) and this is the worst position they've ever been in. There doesn't appear to be any sign of improvement and there's a strong possibility that they'll be demoted into the next league down (called League 1 just to be confusing).
I read recently that they're the 12th biggest club in the UK but not sure how 'big' was defined.
In the 1970's Leeds were the top club in the country winning many trophies, league titles etc but since then, apart from the odd acheievement here and there, they haven't performed all that well.
Leeds' problems stem from financial difficulties. A few years ago they invested heavily in players taking a gamble that they'd perform well in Europe, they didn't and the club was left with massive debts and were forced to sell a lot of key players.

they are the form of club this is mentioned as a snoozing great. in the adventure that your mate nonetheless considers Leeds Utd to be a great club, then he ought to via a similar good judgment concede that Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Derby County are huge golf equipment. There are others who must be further to the checklist, like Wolves, West Brom, QPR, Nottingham woodland and extra. Leeds have the background and fan base of a great club. If their bills are below administration, then they are the form of club that must be huge greenbacks backers must be staring at. a similar variety of element applies to all the above. they may well be out in the barren region now, and that i don't be attentive to how long it will be, yet sometime, they gets returned into the suitable flight. For the checklist, i'm a West Brom fan.
