Dear Desperate Housewife:

My advice would be to clean once again removing the unsightly black stain with bleach until satisfied allowing it to thoroughly dry and only then apply a bead of clear silicone over the grout and along side the shower door frame. Upon doing this, let it dry for approximately 24-hours before using your shower. By applying the silicone bead with a caulking gun it will prevent moisture and air from entering in to the grout thus eliminating bacterial growth.

PS. Your prettier than the picture of the girl in the kitchen.

Best to ya!

No matter what you use it's going to keep coming back. Try cleaning it and then buying that new shower self cleaner that turns on and sprays cleaner in your shower every day. Then you won't have to worry about it as much. Other than the bleach, I have used a steamer. It takes longer than the bleach, but it's safe and doesn't have the smell that bleach has and gets it just as clean.

try tilex, it's made for grout, you don't want to try to many different chemicals that aren't for grout, it can discolor it. Just like vinyl, don't use anything with Yellow #5 in it over time it will discolor the vinyl turning it yellow.
