I've been a tomboy all my life, and I've been thinking about giving myself a makeover to look more feminine and boost my confidence. I'm short - 5'- and have a petite (as in small, not short) hourglass shape. The only problem is I have very little idea what I could do - I've picked out a new hair cut and gotten highlights. I've thought about make-up, but don't know what colors to go with - I've got darker brown hair, greenish eyes and my skin is light to medium depending on the time of year. I've got a kind of big nose and thicker eyebrows, which I've thought about plucking or getting waxed, but I'm afraid they'll be to thin. I'm open to any and all ideas. :) Thanks for your input!

Make up.. i would say try using a black or brown eye liner and maybe a little shadow above your eye lid. If you say that your nose is big.. then you need to put more attention towards your eyes and lips.. away from your nose.. try a light pink or clear gloss. Your eye brows you need to shapen and pluck. Go to a well experience place if you choose to wax them. If not try plucking them yourself. There are tons of eye brow stencils you can use to see which one would fit your face. Color in your eye brows with the stencil and pluck what ever hairs that wernt colored. Thats the easiest way to shape your eye brows and tweeze them. Attire you can wear more dresses and girly clothes. Make up.. generally if you have good skin dont use foundation.. just touch it up with a light powder and maybe use a concelar for any dark spots or pimples.

you sound like me! same coloring even and nose!

first off- eyebrows grow back and if you get them done by a professional the first time all you need to do is maintain them. just ask them to SHAPE the brow.

second- make an appointment at a makeup counter they can show you how to apply makeup and what colors look best. (fyi- you'll have to buy at least one or two things but the consult will be free- also, you dont need ALL the things they are going to show you, start small- mascara you can get at drug store same with lipstick and eyeshadow at least for the first time so you can practice with different colors, but you should get a good powder and base though you dont always need a base/foundation, and blush) makeup should highlight your features not cover them with tons of colors but feel free to experiment. stay true to you. if you are kind of a tomboy- you might not feel comfortable in blue eyemake up, etc. stick with neutrals at first and build up to more color if you choose. go for "classy and elegant and natural" not "trashy and cheap and clownish".
