Unless you pay for Smiley Central. The free version of Smiley Central will install the MyWebSearch and associated spyware. You approve the installation of this when you agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA).
Norton and other AV/AS programs cannot remove it because it is part of the Smiley Central program. Smiley Central does claim their program is legit because the place a listing of MyWebSearch in the Add/Remove programs and allow you to remove it. When you do you remove Smiley Central at the same time.
It looks like spyware, acts like spyware, steals your information. IT IS SPYWARE.

I rather advise removing ALL of that stuff (different than possibly the spybot) and buying a competent antivirus/firewall from a supplier like McAfee (good!)... and as long as that's exact configured, and set to straight away replace.. with those 2 you would be nice... as long as you in addition to mght look after your gadget exact with abode windows protection patches and any protection patches for courses you utilize and you look after secure surfing conduct (like no longer downloading each little bit of crap somebody you don't be attentive to recommends). good success.
