I live in north Idaho and every year we vacation in Seaside, OR and this year I want to go somewhere new but I have no idea where to go. Any one got a good place in OR, ID, or MT?? Thanks!

Not interested in WA state at all? i would recommend Bellingham, WA. It is on I-5 just 20 miles south of the Canadian Border. It's a cool place of it's own accord, with museums, art galleries, water sports, hiking, biking, mountain sports, and do much more. Also, it's just an hour drive from Vancouver, B.C. or you could take a day trip to Victoria, leaving on the ferry that originates in Anacortes, just a half hour south of Bellingham.
How about a different location in Oregon? Try the southern Oregon Coast, it is very different than it is around seaside. Somewhere like Florence, where the Sea Lions Caves are, and there are visitor centers and lookouts way up on a mountain, accessible from hwy 101. Coos Bay is another possiblity, try going during one of there several festivals held during the summer or fall.

If you want to go to Oregon, these are my suggestions:
The beach - Lincoln City. Seaside is just not the same anymore. Lincoln City has alot of new attractions, it is close to Depot Bay & Newport so you don't have to stay in one place the entire time. They also have a brand new Casino there, as well as an outlet shopping mall!
The mountains - Bend, OR. Bend is becoming quite a hip little vacation spot here in Oregon. You are close to rivers, and skiing.
