Two things - sweet potato pie and dinner rolls. My mother made the best dinner rolls - if she made them on a Sunday, she had to make at least 4 dozen, because neighbors would smell them and come over to beg. And even though my sweet potato pie is good, I can't make it rise like hers did. I'm still working on it though.

I'm not boasting but I cooked bettere than my mum but I'm not as good as my grandmother. Her creme caramel is heavenly, very smooth, perfection. I tried it, same ingredients, etc, it was tasty but not as good as hers.
