In the 80's there was a band called Adamski, they played at a nightclub I worked in, they were really nice people and asked me to go on tour with them as a dancer! I was with a 'new' bloke at the time so said NO!
I have a few similar stories like that one which I never done anything about, I think I'm a 'if it's meant for you, it'll no go by you' kind of person!

I was offered the chance to study for my teaching certificate along with my friend. She accepted and became a Headteacher, I refused and got married. I retired with no pension, she retired with an enhanced pension. Would I do the same again? Yes because I have had a great marriage and two children she has no close family.

Yes two or three times something has happened or been said that did not really register at the time but on reflection there was a subtle offer or suggestion that I let go by.
