Now as long as they win they will not have to leave California. Sacramento and then onto San Jose.

I don't think so. In March Madness, home field means nothing...it all comes down to the passion and drive these teams have. UCLA is a good team and even if the games weren't played in California, the results would still be the same. Same can be said for Kansas. If those 2 meet in the Elite 8, Kansas could care less if its in California. If they know and play as if they are the better team, neither the crowd or travel would be a factor.

I feel there is no really difference between a #1 and #2 seed. The #15 and #16 seeds (Niagara and Webert St) are both weak and the second round matchups for UCLA and Kansas (Indiana and Kentucky) are about the same. The only real difference is that a #1 seed as never lost to a #16 seed while a #2 seed has lost to a #15 seed 4 times. But if you take care of businesslike a championship team is suppose to then there should be no worries.

It's a blessing that the selection committee let them play in the West Region, because UCLA won't have to leave California to get to the Final Four!

LOL to the guy that said theyre hyped, im guessing all youve heard of UCLA were its losses to Washington and California? UCLA is a great team and i dont think it really matters what seed they got. you will eventually have to play a good team so the seeds really dont matter. the home court advantage plays on their side though.

If i was them i rather take the number 1 spot, that means more responsibilities and the challenege to hold on to the #1 spot and take it all home. being #2 is an advantage but not a blessing, itll be blessing if they were #1

Ultimately they have to play well 100% of the time, which they seem to have been struggling with lately.

But the lack of travel won't allow them to use it as an excuse relative to the other teams.
