I had an appointment yesterday and had my membrains stripped and cervix streched. Since then I have had alot of pain in my pelvic area. It feels like it is brused. Dose anyone know what this could be?

Well you are tender from having your cervix ripened, so the pain is probably from that, but here are some other things that can cause pain too. Has your baby dropped. When I was 38 weeks my daughter dropped into my pelvic area and I was in pain until I delivered. It hurt down there and my ligaments were stretched and painful too. If you can feel movement in you pelvic area at all the baby has probably dropped. The pain could also be from impending labor. Sometimes when labor begins, you have pain and pressure in the lower pelvic area. I began labor 24 hours after having my cervix ripened, so you could be going into labor. Bottom line, it is normal what you are experiencing. Good Luck and Congrats!

Stripping your membranes and stretching your cervix will cause that pain

was it a sharp pain *buttocks* that felt like you were being stabbed? you do realize that in the last months your pelvis will expand, and its feels just like *see above* you feel like crying, falling to the floor, throwing a fit. in doubt see your doctor

GO TO THE DOCTOR maybe its pain because the treatment yesterday but it may be oter thing.......

You could be at the beginning stage of labor.
