I just got one 6 days ago and its a little red by the piercing, it doesnt hurt or anything I have been cleaning it 3 times a day with the salt water stuff and swishing my mouth out with listerine occasionally after I eat..

Just wondering if the redness around it is normal?? TIA

Very normal. Kudos to you for doing the sea salt soaks and Listerine. I hate stupid people who don't do piercings right. Just make sure that when the swelling goes down to go back to the piercer to get remeasured for the next size. It always looks funny when the swellings gone down and the piercing sticks up. :)

it is deff normal to have some redness, if u see the redness is still there in another week, i would start to get worried. but personally i would take the piercing out, the monroe piercing is a fad that is already almost gone, trust me. not trying to be a prick either, just letting u know my opinion. monroe piercings= ewwwww

ew. why. that was stupid.

And redness around ANY piercing is normal. C'mon. they poked a hole in your skin. Of COURSE it will disturb your blood flow and circulation...making parts look red. C'mon not rocket science here.
