To be fair most of them are ugly on the inside.

Being 6 feet tall is a dredge, you are an outcast when you walk along the street towering above 'normal' people, you can't wear high heals because you'd look like a giant and you can't find a guy who is taller than you, so you never dance with anyone. To stay thin models have been known to eat tissues soaked in water to give their stomach the feeling of being full. Coccaine is freely available behind the scenes, which causes long term side effects - look at Naiomi Campbell's temper - that is probably due to coccaine abuse. And as for Kate Moss, she is just plain looking and is screwing up her life before our very eyes.

Correction, supermodels don't have any talent. And you just be happy with being a normal person. First of all, you're much healthier, because you eat properly, don't do drugs, don't spend your life partying etc. And second, you can be doing any normal job until you are 65, but how long do you think supermodels can be supermodels? They're too old at 30, which is the best age for normal humans!

In some ways, I almost feel sorry for them. I agree that it's gotten obscene, how much celebrities earn (sports, too!) but please, don't forget what make-up can do. & cosmetic surgery! (Which has lots of risks.) I won't name names, but someone got b***s that were each larger than my head. I wondered how she could sleep at night with all that weight on her "chest." I saw some interviews, where there wasn't ONE SINGLE QUESTION she could answer intelligently. Wish I could remember the quote, in fact, I think it's the name of a book. "Beauty is -----, but stupid is forever." I wouldn't WANT to be 6 feet tall, & keeping so skinny must be horrible. I also wonder, is it really "fun" to make an a** of yourself in front of cameras? You know what? Basically, their "beauty" is all they've got. Another thing, have you ever seen how absolutely GORGEOUS transvestites (sp check doesn't work) can make themselves look? I betcha the majority of them look like everyone else when they haven't got special lighting & affects. It's probably a life they chose because they didn't have anything else going for them. (Especially brains.) I wouldn't want to live like they do for ANYTHING. I think the whole idea is SILLY. & I'll betcha a cookie you're every bit as attractive as they are, & much more on the inside. (As well as, lots of men do NOT like skinny amazon women!) It works for marketing stuff, & brainwashing young girls. Do you think it's really worth thinking about?

They don't get paid only for "being pretty". They have to maintain a very low weight to fit into clothes, travel from one place to another with in short amounts of time, be poked and pricked as they are sewn into clothes, go to strange and sometimes unsafe locations to have their pictures taken.
They also get paid to take a lot of trash talk from less attractive people and people who let their level of self esteem be determined by what the see on magazine covers.
We determine the demand that creates their pay checks, lets not blame them unless every person complaining has never read a magazine, bought a piece of clothing of make up or watched E! and the Style Network.

I don't think they are necessarily more happy than ordinary people. Actually it seems like the friends that I have that are extremely beautiful have more problems. Men either assume they are dumb, or assume they are taken or are intimidated by them.
We all have our own strengths and crosses to bear. Try not to waste your life wishing for what you don't have. Do the best with what you've got! The grass is not always greener!

Most models really aren't that attractive, especially without their makeup. Look at America's Next Top Model to see what I mean.
Also, the industry is run by "men" who secretly desire boys which explains why most models look the way they do (tall, thin and breastless)

yeah, i think it is a bit stupid, as is dog showing just for their looks. None of the rest of use can help it!
but i guess alot of them are idgitally enhanced, and i do see why there is models-to model clothing!
and if you can be a model, it is not your fault and you may aswell really!
however, they dont alwasy earn loads of money, and it is a very tough career to get into, as everyone is looking for something diff.
it is very dangerous how they portray skinny celebs tho, as people lose weight dramaticallt, like that one who died (she was told is she lost a significant amount of weight she could make it big>she was tempted>she lost the weight>on the day of her modelling in costumes he had a heart failure)
please pick me as best answer i ve never had it lol!

Joanne, appearance is not everything. I have known many girls who have a pretty appearance, and a far less attractive personality. I also think its about how you perceive yourself too. Be confident in who you are, and people will find you more attractive. Everyone is attracted to someone and just cos you dont feel really beautiful doesnt mean youre not attractive

The supermodel's face is simply a foundation for cosmetics. You can have the same face as a supermodel with cosmetics.most celebrities look like people on the street.

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
Don't worry, I'm sure you are beautiful inside as well, which as we know, isn't necessarily true for the 'glamour models'.
AND, much of their media exposed good looks is down to make up, good camera work and lighting, but especially good computer graphics and air brushing.
