I spent yesterday evening in the hospital and found out that I'm 4 weeks pregnant with an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. The doctor said that the cyst will grow with the baby for as long as I'm pregnant. Are there any health risks that I am taking with keeping the baby?!? It really hurts on some days, but I'm afraid that it will grow really large and effect my pregnancy. What are the chances and effects of it rupturing during pregnancy?!? This is my first pregnancy, so I really need some serious answers. I already know that I can only take Tylenol for the pain, but I'm worried about my health and the baby's health...

I asked the doctors at the hospital yesterday, but they couldn't give me an answer. I'm going to see an ob/gyn in 2 weeks, but I still want an idea on what I may be in for...

I have had cysts on both of my ovaries at various times, and my latest ultrasound confirmed i do have a cyst on my left one, but it hasn't caused any problems or complications and as far as I know, it hasn't grown in size. My doctor didn't even mention it to me, I just noticed it on one of the reports. I am now in my 34th week of pregnancy.

Since the ER docs didn't say this was a serious concern that could threaten your life or the life of the baby, I would try not to worry.

The OB-GYN will be able to answer all your questions, so I would write everything down that you want to ask before the appointment. Is there any way you could call back and explain the situation and beg them to see you sooner?

I would call other OB-GYNs and see if another oen would take you before the two weeks. Two weeks seems like a long time to wait with all those questions and concerns.

I had two miscarriages. With the last one the doctor implied that my cyst could have been the problem but not for sure. I don't know if the doctors really know so they just kind of avoid this question. I am now 1 week late on period so we will see if I am pregnant this time I will make sure that I get straight answers from now on. Demand an explanation and find out what options that you have to have a successful pregnancy so you are not always left wondering like I am. Good luck.

With the baby in your uterus and the cyst on your ovary, even though they're close in proximity, I would not automatically begin worrying about harm coming to the child. Have you talked with your doctor about how the size of the cyst (if in fact it grows) could affect the baby? Ask as many questions as you can think of.

I am so sorry to hear that!Well, you have to be strong and deal with this day by day. You have to do ALOT of praying( if u r spiritual) and trust and believe that God will pull you through. Good luck. Try not to worry because that is not good for the baby.
