Pick up litter along streets or highway or a park. Organize a recycle drive for aluminum cans and other recyclables. Volunteer at a senior center. Go to a hospital and get wthe nurses and visit people there who don't get visitors. Go to the nearest pet shelter and walk some of the animals there they need walking and interaction with people or maybe clean out the cages or have a drive to raise money for supplies for the animals. Just some low cost ideas - hope it helps. G.

Adopt-a-mile -- have your class, or just your project group do this. You don't need much money for gloves and bags, and you are old enough to drive.
Do something that involves cleaning up, which so many people hate to do, and make it long term. Show that you are dedicated to giving to the community by setting up something that you or your school's group will be responsible for in the long term.
Good luck!

A community service project? If thats what you are asking the best place to go is a church they always have people that need help doing things that they can't do themselves. I'm sure they would be more then willing to help you with your project.

You could totaly clean up a park for the smaller children within your community. I know that my kids get really upset when we are at the park, and there is writting all over everything. Also, you could voluntary at a retirement center. Maybe be friends with an elder there who doesnt have many vistors.

this is kind of a nasty one, put on some rubber gloves and go around different public buildings picking up cigarette butts. People WILL see that, at it not only helps to eliminate unsightly objects, it also helps our environment by removing the fiberglass (which filters are made of) from the soil.

I'm assuming this is an outside thing...I would clean up the major part or a nice part (park, etc.) because it's disgusting how much people litter...and the trash can is not even 20 feet away!

Get some company to donate to putting benches in your local park, or volunteer to help with your town's recycling.
