I'm 5'1(almost) and my husband-to-be is 5'10 whom I haven't even seen in person yet since this is an arranged marriage. Is this weird? I wish there was a way I could see how we would look together.

Hmmm.... I don't see anything wrong with the height difference!! Arrange marriage u said, then u r desi and well look at amitab and his wife, that's a difference, but they are like the best couple of Bollywood. How can u say yes to someone u haven't ever seen though??? It's amazing!! I mean i know that even in arranged marriages the guy and the girl meet right? anyways, IF you really so curious to see what u will look like together, get someone who is 5ft 10inches, stand next to him/her and see yourself in a mirror!!!!

No! I am 5 foot 3 inches tall and my husband of 11 years is 6 foot 5 inches tall.
there is a big height difference..but when I go out with my husband I wear heals to put a little height on me..
5 foot 1 and 5 foot 10 is not that bad at all..trust me...
Fact: for the people who think arranged marriage are weird..It wasnt that long ago here in the USA marriages were arranged a ittle over 100-150 years ago. look it up.
Daughters stayed with their parents until a suitor came along..Woman didnt date, they didnt go to school, the didnt do anything but cook clean and learn how to be a wife..we didnt speak until spoken to....very true read some history

Honestly, I'd be more worried about the whole arranged marriage part than how you 2 will look together.
But to answer your question -- 9" might seem like a lot, but when you are together, it might not be so noticeable. Plus, you can always wear shoes with a bit of a heel on them and cut down the difference...

I think the height difference is the least of your problems, if you have an arranged marriage you must be recently from another country, if the arranged marriage is ok with you, then you shoudn't be looking for advice from the American /Euro
populace for we don't understand arranged marriages.

No, it's very common! Don't worry about little things like that you'll just stress yourself out. It's fine =)

I don't think the height difference is weird. My cousin who is 6'4" married his high school sweetheart who is 5'2"! That's an even bigger difference than what you are talking about. They look great together because it's so obvious that they are in love. They've been married for almost 15 years and have three kids.

Arranged marriages and the rational people who accept them have always been weird to me. Honey, the least of your worries is how you will look together!? Aren't you concerned about anything else? Hell, you aren't even sure if it is a man, are you? Pfff!
