Hey, for my prom I wore a lilac dress that had thin strap and a panelled front, that had a long flowing skirt with a sort of mini trail at the back? That sounds weird but I loved it. There's some beautiful ones on Ebay that I wanted by sewingbeads, a company that sells off there, but I was a bit nervous about buying a dress I'd never tried on.

A vintage looking one. Simple with only a few patterns at the hem and waist. Normally makes a big statement because it's classy, elegant yet not too frilly or stuffy. Take a look at this one:

In my opinion, what i HATE to see when i see people going to prom is the "typical" prom dress...you know the one, the ruffles on top, the tight fitting skirt etc. Why not break the mold? Wear something nice but unexpected! You dont have to be as extreme as bijork and her swan dress...but try something new!?

A beautiful elegant long one that'll make everyone look at you!
Short ones are too slutty and tell the guys your gonna put out to them. Everytime I hang around with my buds we talk about the girls in the short dresses showin' off you know. Ones in long dresses are alot prettier and gives a sense of mystery

Something long and elegant that gets you noticed but not something big and puffy and over-the-top to dostract people from YOU. Its your night and you should find a dress that lets you stand out and brings out your best features and hides all your flaws (hey, everybody has some!)

wear a solid color... not all big & not too hoochie..just nice & long & kinda simple not too simple*have fun..Good luck finding a dress.
