Well, a couple of studies have shown regular masturbation, particularly when younger, correlates with a reduced risk of prostate cancer.
Also, several friends of mine who are concerned about PC carefully restrict their intake of caffeine. I'm caffeine free myself, but mostly because I have trouble sleeping otherwise.
And, lastly, one of the things I do as a general cancer preventative, is fast twice a year. I believe pretty strongly that all mammals evolved in a context of periodic starvation, and that evolution has always exerted a selective force in favour of traits that can make positive use of an aestivational state (a period without food intake.) There is some evidence to suggest both that the immune system is stimulated by fasting, and also that at least some of the out-of-control genes that can cause cellular proliferation (tumours) can be affected by fasting.
So for this and other reasons I have worked up to being able to fast (water only, plus electrolytes) for ten days, twice a year. After my fasts I feel wonderful. The fasts themselves are a relaxing period of emotional stability and rest. If you choose to explore fasting, READ UP ON IT FIRST! Fasting is safe, but if not undertaken from a position of knowledge, complications can occur.

It is all genetical and already within your body just waiting for age to bring forth the problems. It is part of being male. However, recent studies have shown that men who ejaculate 3 to 5 times a week from 12 on have fewer problems. So masturbation is good for you.
