That's a tough one. The approach I had was to ask the father when in private. He enjoys cigars, so I got a couple of really nice stogies, and gave one to him. While we were outside smoking, I was nervous as could be. But, I explained to him that I had been dating his daughter for a couple of years and I felt that it was the time to propose. After that, I asked him for his blessings and he agreed to it. Case in hand, find a comfortable situation for the father and ask him during that, and PLEASE be respectful

When you have time,go to her house and ask the parents if you can talk to both of them about their daughter, then when that day comes, bring a flower for her mom, act natural and calm, when you are in front of them make sure that you speak clearly and sweet. Always use your manners like Ma'am or sir, if not just call them Mr or Mrs, from there just tell them how and what you feel towards their daughter, and you'll see with good manners and as a gentleman they will not be disappointed in you..................good luck but I know you don't need it!

I think it's a good idea, it shows her parents you have good intentions towards their daughter just don't forget to ask her before if she wants to marry you because that's what my husband did the first time, he informed all his and my family that we where getting married without me even knowing it lol but it didn't go through till he did it the right way!!!

When i did it, I had to do it twice, anyway the hardest thing was get alone with her fathers, and I didn't have long to ask as she was coming right back. but just be straight forward and say " I would like your daughters hand in marriage" if he says no, then back off a little while, and then ask again.

i know that my fiancee just went up to my parents and told them that he loved their daughter very much and wants their permission to ask me to marry him. its pretty simple especially if the parents of the daughter really like you

Tell them that you love their daughter, and you have nothing but the best intentions for her, respect for her, love for her ect. Say that you wanted to do the right thing and ask for his/her/their blessing's to marry their daughter. Just be respectful and it should go smoothly. My father in law joked with me when I asked him, "I tried to warn you to get out before it was too late."

in the journey that they are are classic, i imagine they could easily savor it in case you requested them for permission in chinese language. it may practice that you respected their way of existence and are thoughtful about them and their daughter. What you say is truly as a lot as you inspite of the actuality that. yet i imagine in case you say it in chinese language it will be fantastic! :) i visit basically say inspite of the actuality that, that in case your heart is truly set on asking them for permission, you should do it in individual. and that i understand the inconvenience of them living so a procedures away, yet look at it from their area. Absolutely, it shows respect for them on your part. If I were you I would invite them with your girlfriend out to a nice dinner, somewhere they would enjoy, and no McDonald's isn't it. And ask them over desert.

Did you ask to court her; kiss her, touch her? Then use those same balls and step up! Do it over dinner. Make sure you told your gf first or at least u discussed it. Then go brave. What's the worst- u get thrown out of the house. lol

My boyfriend took my mother and I out to dinner. During the final course as we were talking, he just asked her. He told her about how much he was in love with me, and how much I've come to mean to him. He said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and said to my mom that it would mean a lot to both of us if she gave her blessing, so to speak. It was amazing. My mother and I were both teary-eyed, and it was in that moment that I knew beyond any possible doubt that he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Oh- and my mom said yes. :-)
