Either you haven't been paying enough attention, or your question is more subtle than it appears on the surface.

Darth Vader returns to the fold of the Jedi in the 'end', and re-affirms as a good guy. In fact exactly as foretold, Anikin Skywalker is the anomaly that 'heals' the split in the 'Force'. Which is pretty much what us non-believers in 'good' and 'evil' are trying to say, there is no 'evil' only undesirable actions.

So...........does the subtle interpretation mean that you were looking for this insight that all the black-hats can, eventually, turn out to be white-hats after all ?

Whichever it's a great question, thanks.

For the party line bit, please can you Yanks finally get it straight, there is a whole world out here, and the other 95% of us don't follow your pattern exactly. We have lots of 'parties', with lots of variations. If you mean the simple 'capitalist', or 'socialist', the question answers itself. The black-hats always represent the capitalistic view ( in Star Wars it's the Empire, representing the Galactic Trade Federation, not to complicated nto work out ). In the case of Sauron, Tolkein was clearly trying to work the same imagery, the dark satanic mills of both Mordor and Isengard. And Voldemort is clearly a good guy sold out to the 'dark' side too.

As with all morality tales, the end always has everyone agreeing that we need to look out forn each other, the strong taking care of the weak, etc etc. Thus the story is the same whatever, and the Jesus/Mohammed/Buddha/Lao Tzu/ just about any religious/spiritual path, all take the same basic message as the rule.

So............finally a relaxed socially aware program, that does not require the extremes of the failed communist experiments of the 20th century, will probably prevail in the end.

Personally ? I'm an advanced anarchist ! ;-) ( That means I don't plan to lob bombs at anyone, and I hope they feel the same way too )

Vader!

He is the only one that was not a dictator!, he did the emperors will then turned good at the end.

Actually, republicans believe in personal freedom more than democrats. Republicans are just not tolerant of all things. Therefore, a dictator would appeal to the democrats. Like Stalin and Hitler and Lenin pushing for a better society as a whole, but really serving their own agenda.

I'm thinking Darth Vader, because 1) he still has some feelings- saved Luke, 2) he has some experiance running an empire, and 3) I could probably overthrow him and take the world for myself, lol.

He wouldn't go republican, he's a fascist.

I'd want Darth Vader to rule. In my opinion I think Sauron would run rep.

Hard telling the party affiliation of Voldemort, though he was corrupt and evil and defended by mindless lackeys that always said he was sooooo great....sounds like Bill Clinton to me. Sauron was definitely a Democrat because it was always ALL about HIM, and he was always whining about HIS ring, you know the one he made himself? Sounds like John Kerry to me. Darth Vader did terrible things for a regime he KNEW to be corrupt, yet defended it anyway..kinda sounds like James Carville. So Vader was probably a Democrat as well. Though, I'm sure by your question, you wouldn't see it that way. If I had to choose one of them to rule the world I'd choose Voldemort because, hey! magic!
