Yes and at least one person in the UK has been charged and taken to the Crown Court for doing this on the internet.All you need to prove is the threat was made and the person receiving it believed it to real.If you just said you were going to bust someone up that is not threats to kill.

It is a crime, but considered to be harmless by some officers of the law here in England. Having said that, it would be logged as a violent crime in the records kept by the P.A.
My friends son was threatened, by known thugs, over the internet, and even though they could prove it nothing was done.
I expect you would get away with it as others leaving threats here will prove!!

No, because the threat to kill has to put the victim in immediate fear and apprehension of the threat being carried out, and as you are not in a position to do that here, then it is an empty threat which no rational person could take seriously.

How come answerer 1 & 2 above, are still on there. I got a violation notice and answer removed once when all I said was "you need spelling lessons".
