Dallas obviously had a distasteful conclusion of last season...however, much promise is to be seen in the future.....now a possible superbowl run is shaky but an NFC championship run may not be due to the weakness of the NFC (only seattle and New Orleans stand to any real threat)...i could see dallas winning the NFC east and going 10-6 (1Dallas, 2Eagles, 3Redskins, 4 Giants)....but with a totally new coaching staff, a $49 million BUST on Davis who had proved to do nothing, and Jones lack of ability to acknowledge T.O. was a HUGE mistake (dont give me the most TD CRAP!!!), does dallas stand a chance to make my predictions? most importantly will Romo play the season the way he started it last season? or will we see johnson making some plays?

Let me make these points and you decide the Cowboys fate:
1) The start of the defensive struggles can be specifically connected to the Greg Ellis injury (They should have picked up Joey Porter, but C'est la vie);
2) Marion Barber should have been the starting running back and this year when Julis Jones is gone he will show you why;
3) Offensive line depth is always a concern and IF Marco Rivera retires it may not be that big of a concern since they have the multi million dollar mistake you were referring to;
4) T.O. has been known to rip apart lockers in a single act, however the 'Boys survived, barely. Now, whether it was Parcells will that kept the team from a total collapse this season will provide the answer;
5) Romo will keep on Roll'n!! He has some of the best talent in the NFL position by position. Just like last year when Tom Brady (the most overrated professional athele) struggled it was because the players around him were not playing on par with his skill level (funny how when the Patroits were winning super bowls it was all brady).
If Dallas comes out and gets in a comfort zone next season everyone will be singing praise to Romo!! Go Cowboys!!

Romo will be fine he wasn't the problem anyway it was the defence. to me he looks like he could be great not just good. look at the way he can read the defence and make adjustments at the line and his scrambling and creating ability is top notch He is a bit of a risk taker in the mold of a Jim Kelly or Brett Farve, but if you can pull it off it's not a bad thing. Also this is not his sophmore year as someone stated he has been learnin this legue for 3-4 years now and should be poised to have an execptional year with the guys around him. If he fails I think it will because the defence put him in too many bad situations

I think Romo will turn out to be a decent QB (not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady) but good. I think this season he will "mature" a bit in the pocket and continue to make things happen. I believe if the Cowboys did not believe in him they may have tried to work a deal for another QB instead of signing Brad Johnson who, at 38, is pretty much at the end of his career. He can mentor Romo, even though he says that is not why he came here, and be a good back up to step in if Romo is injured. I agree with you on a strong possibility of winning the NFC east and I think they will make it pass the 1st round of the playoffs. I am also anxious to see what happens at the running back position this season with all the new coaches. I think the combo of Jones and Barber worked great even though Jones wasn't to happy with it. To me he has never proved he is the go to guy that can carry the ball all game, every game, all season long. I guess we will have to see. Go COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Romo will have an above average sophmore season. He started real hot and cooled off as he got more confident, but he should just about round off.

Prediction: Dallas will lose to Green Bay in the divisional round. 27-17.

Romo will be starting, the kid isn't great, but he has tons of potential. his o line is going to be even better this year. look for an improvement in his pocket work. He is still mobile and has a good arm. With all of training camp as number one and more familiarity with his recievers, he can put up some crazy numbers. Just keep your eye out for him and don't even think that the cowboys are actually going to start anybody else this year. I guess i have to go with Romomentum even though i don't like him.

okay, listen to this.

Romo was a great QB last year. After the Cowboys faltered with... Drew Bledsoe? doesn't matter. he came in and got em to the playoffs. but, 1 mistake the whole year begins all of this controversy. 1 dropped snap.... and usually its the backup QB that holds. so he was doing 2 jobs half of the season. so next year.... ROMOMENTUM
