Hi there.

Mms.. from your specs you've given on your computer, I summerise that you're not getting the full graphics advantage. This is due to the video card you have S3 Savage 32 MB. The newer your video card (as well the more memory your video card has .. this case you have 32 MB a bit low for playing NFS5) the better your computer will perform. A 1Ghz computer would probably suffice but will again be slow, depending on how many programs/games you've loaded onto your computer. The more, the performance will be lower. Your ram seems ok.

When lines starts to scroll during any video or animation, that symptom will tend to point out your graphics isn't able to handle the intense graphic requirements to show a smooth video output. Altho increasing your monitor resolution/refresh rate may help, i think the highest you can prob get from a S3 Savage4 is either 75Mhz up to 80 .. about there.

Hope this helps

Try setting your refresh rate from 60Hz to something higher (72, 75, 85).

MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO FANS OR SPEAKERS CLOSE TO YOUR MONITOR. SOME TIME THE MAGNETS IN THE SPEAKERS CAN MESS WITH YOUR MONITOR IF THEY ARE TO CLOSE
