What's your point, that LT is overrated? Look, Barry Sanders put up phenomenal #'s for years on a bad team. Walter Payton did the same for a string of mediocre teams. Why wouldn't LT do the same? Remember, the Chargers have only been a good team for the past two years and LT has been putting up good numbers from the very beginning. He had 11 touchdowns his rookie year and has been a 16 plus touchdown machine every year since, even when the Chargers were bad! No one but Shaun Alexander comes close to that level of consistency. No, he would not have set records in Houston, but he would have still been LT. Don't hate, appreciate.

LT is still the best back. The chargers till marty got there were a bad team. LT still racked up good yardage even with a bad team. Remember this is the same team that eli manning didnt want to play for, the same team that drafted Ryan Leaf. The chargers were a very bad team as bad if not worst than the texans are right now when LT was drafted by the chargers. and for years after that. but LT was still considered one of the best, maybe not the best, back then.

If LT was a Texan last year, Larry Johnson would have been the rushing leader. I love LJ, but that doesn't mean he's as good as LT. LT would still be the best running back, but on an offense that wouldn't be able to help him reach his full potential.

Oh and to the guy that said Alexander... he's not even the best back in the NFC West anymore. That honor goes to Frank Gore.

LT is a great runner but the texans don't have as good of an offensive line and I don't care who you are you.. Great backs are defined by great offensive lines.. Once LT would break through the line he is the best open field runner I've seen in a very long time. Well Barry Sanders was the best but that was another era.. I would have loved to see Barry with an excellent offensive line.. I truly feel he would have been hands down the all time greatest back in history.

well, the Texans dont have nearly as good of an offensive line.

There defense is also much worse, so they play much of the game from behind. LT would have lost a lot of the second half carries that he had, and he scored many of his TD's in the second half.

LT might have gotten 10-12 TD's with that team, but he would not have had anything close to the season he had with the Chargers.

Even with LT still in Charger blue, I think Shaun Alexander is the best RB. LT had a fantastic season, but my impression has been he's a flash in the pan...ie: Terrell Davis...a very good back who won't last long.

LT was the best in '06, but I don't know that he will be in '07.

Either Steven Jackson of the Rams, Larry Johnson of the Chiefs, or the misguided might point to Reggie Bush's 88 receptions.
