I'm a Senior in High School and have contracted SERIOUS Senioritis and I really need to get out of it and get back to my schoolwork so that my acceptances won't get recinded. I'm naturally lazy and have been that way for a long time but never like this. I just CANT do the work. I try, but i cant it just doesnt happen. I think I'm getting ADD or something from this also. I cant concentrate and it sucks. Now dont give me answers like, its all in your hands, work doesnt happen you have to do it. I dont want those bull hippie answers. Please something serious. No joke, SENIORITIS NEEDS A CURE!!!

The thing is, the teachers dont give alot of work which doesnt help. If i have work to busy myself with, it wouldnt be a problem but i randomly get one damn essay on the themes in Hamlet. I already got accepted to Temple University, Seton Hall University, Wells College and some other ones too. I do realize my ENTIRE life is in my own hands but i guess just gotta shut off the xbox, put down the joint and do something.

It's the rest of your life you're dealing with, so not to be blunt but you just need to wake up and realize that to get anywhere in the world you have to WORK. Yes, it's horrible. I'm a college junior and senioritis is setting in already... but I realize how important it is to stick with it so I have a shot at a good future. I would reccommend getting together a study group if you have difficulty grasping info. Maybe the combo of being with friends and doing the work will help you get through the last few months of school. Meeting with teachers after school may help as well if you can't quite focus during class. One on one time is more effective because it forces you to focus...and often the teachers are more laid back than they are in the classroom. Best of luck.

I remember senioritis very well, in fact mine hit about this time of the year too. Because not only is it your senior year but it's also spring fever time....

I don't know what advice to give as I don't even remember how I survived. Just keep doing your work and tell yourself it will be over soon. Also, the sooner you get your work done the better. However, it is easier said then done. Try doing your homework in class as much as possible that way at least you won't have as much to do when your out of school and then you will have more time for friends and what not.

Good luck!

You may need to see a counselor (not school counselor - psychiatric counselor). Some anti-depressants may help. Maybe some Effexor if you have ADD. Also, consider tutoring SOMEONE ELSE! If you have to be prepared for them you'll accidentally be prepared for yourself. :) Good luck!

Here is my advice from my senior year.

Smoke a bowl, get drunk, and worry about the papers later.

Screw those tree hugger hippie bastards and have some fun. If you screw up, there is always community college.

Its almost 4:20
