I do believe in that saying. I also believe in fate, in a higher being and in karma. It all depends on what you believe. I believe most of the things that happen in life are predetermined by a prior occurrence, thought, or feeling. We have control over where we go, who we are with, what we are doing, what we've done (generally speaking) and those are the things that influence the outcome of our lives and things that happen in them. So everything happens for a reason, and usually there is a lesson to be learned whether it be good or bad. Just one persons opinion.....

I do actually...

In 2001 my mother died at the age of 54 of a massive heart attack. She had just gotten a clean bill of health from her doctor the week before after having an EKG done. My mother and I were very close, and as cliche as it sounds, she was one of my best friends. I was heart broken, devastated and torn up all at once. Now that I've managed to depress you I will tell you that the remaining members of my family and I have gotten significantly closer since then.

Each member of my family always leaned on my mother, therefore our bonds with her, were significantly stronger then the bonds with the rest of the family. Since her death we have come to rely on each other much more which has helped us grow so much stronger as a family.

Another example. My ex-boyfriend did awful things to me. He never physically hit me, or abused me, but there are sometimes worse things than that. I feel that the reason this happened to me was so that I would gain personal strength to stand up to him, and leave him. Now I know that IF by some horrible chance I end up with someone like him again, I will know exactly what needs to be done. I am also wiser now, and I know how to help my friends if they get in that situation.

I truly believe in that. Whenever something bad(or good!) happens to me or someone I know I always think it's part of the plan....happens for a reason, was meant to be....however you want to say it =)

everything happens for a reason... like... boredom is the reason i'm answering your question. is this a trick question? did i just fail? anyway... you have to elaborate more.... and the reason for that is so we can understand exactly what you're asking... and the reason for that is so we can answer you accurately.

Yes. Sometimes you may never even figure out what that reason was, but there is one.

I believe things happen because of the choice you made so the reason is because of your choice. Its not all played out its what you decide. God gave us our own minds and choices hopefully its the right one

i believe everything happens due to a justification made to solve a problem, which occurred due to a prior confu sion!
people tend to justify their acts and criticize others's!
but by all this, we may also...learn something, sure, if any!
