saw this thing at a local pet shop and thought it was neat. allows you to add bettas to your tank with out worrying about them killing everything else. Just wondering if anyone else has one and how well it works. i would also like to know how much room they have? i hate it when people leave bettas in such little containers.

I was thinking about getting this and adding it to my 10 gallon tank and just getting one betta. (At least he'd have some room then)

thanks!

Actually if you only have one Betta he can go right in the tank with the other fish. A male Betta is only going to fight with another male Betta. The thing you actually have to worry about is other fish nipping at his fins. Save your money.

I agree with most everyone here already - if you look at the actual product, the space in each section isn't much bigger than what they get in one of the little cups. Consider the length of your ten gallon tank divided by four - this would be the maximum room your betta would get (if this was the full length of the tank). The holes underneath just allows for feces to fall through and provides minor water circulation.

If you choose tankmates carefully (no bullys, or fin nippers), there's no reason to confine the bettas at all, if there's only one.

They don't have very much room at all in those separators. They are usually used in the pet store as a temporary thing to display them when they are for sale. It is also cruel to do that because the fish see each other and stress themselves out thinking they can fight one another. So, overall not a good idea!

I personally don't like things like that. The space allowed is no bigger than the traditional little cups. I would prefer putting in a divider and giving them half a tank to putter around in. Sorry.....

the security house is quite small. But beta's don't really move around that much. That item is really made to showcase your beta's. Beta's can live with other fish, just not with each other. I have put them with guppies, swordtails, mollies, gouramies, and catfishes.
Keeping males in small containers holding less than one quart of water "is" CRUEL.

I agree with the first poster, if you have only one betta just let him be in the tank. If you want more than one VG has a superior idea for handling that situation.

Its way to small and anyway you shouldnt keep bettas like that, the males can actually smell each other and see each other and they get mad
