The Jayhawks very well could win it all. They are playing as well or better than any team in the country right now, peaking at the right time "so to speak."
They've won the Big 12 regular season and tournament championships which says something about the depth of this roster and their will to win.
Coach Self has developed great team chemistry. The Hawks are hitting on all cylinders, playing in synch and will be awfully tough to beat.
One of the elite college basketball programs of all time.....

I have the Jayhawks winning the tournament this year, actually; the West Region is not that difficult, and Kansas comes into play on the strength of a 12-game winning streak which includes beating Texas and Kevin Durant twice in eight days.
The entire key for this team is focus. Niagara showed that they could easily be the Bucknell or Bradley for this year, and neither Kentucky nor Villanova can be overlooked in the second round. Then comes probably Southern Illinois, which might be KU's easiest matchup to that point, followed by a UCLA team that has been good all year. After THAT, you have either Florida or Wisconsin, and then maybe Ohio State, North Carolina, or Texas yet again. Still, as well as the 'Hawks were playing down the stretch, and the fact that they came back from 22 points down against Texas and (perhaps) the National Player of the Year shows that maybe this year Bill Self will keep them glued on the task at hand. And when that happens, Kansas can beat anyone in the country.

I think Kansas will reach the Finals but end up losing to UNC. Kansas has one of the easiest roads to the Final Four; they will beat Jackson St, Purdue, my Terps, and Oregon to reach the Final Four against Florida, which they will once again win because Florida is incredibly overrated. Plus, Kansas beat them when they weren't playing their best basketball, and Florida has slumped lately besides winning the SEC. Both teams are incredibly balanced, but I like the all around talent that Kansas has more than the fraud of a player Joakim Noah is; he's probably the 4th or 5th best player on that team, has no range and can't handle the ball that well, just waits for Green to get him the ball inside. Horford is the real threat to Kansas inside. I have UNC beating Texas A&M in the Final Four, then beating Kansas in a close game, 77-73. I think UNC's power inside with Hansbrough and ACC Rookie of the Year Brandan Wright give them a big edge, and Ty Lawson is one of the better freshman point guards in the country. I also think that UNC has a deeper team than Kansas.

Kansas is certainly playing well enough as a team to win it all this year. They should coast to the Elite 8 with no problem, although they shouldn't take Southern Illinois for granted if it comes to that....
Once Kansas starts playing premier teams from the Elite 8 and onward, they can not afford to dig themselves into another 20+ point deficit like they did in the Big 12 championship. Any defense they face won't allow them to come back from a game-opening disaster like that.

it rather is nonetheless too early to truly say who's gonna win the experience. there are maximum of communities that are going and are chilly and a few communities that are bubble communities that are enjoying large surprising now. only interior the convention tourneys, UCLA, Arizona, Duke, Virginia, Texas A&M, Marquette, Notre Dame, Kentucky, and appropriate now Texas is down sixteen to Baylor. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, there is Louisville, Georgetown, NC, Florida, USC, Oregon, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Ohio St. that are nonetheless enjoying large. Time will basically tell for surprising now.

I don't have Kansas getting out of the first weekend for many reasons
1. Lost in the first round two years in a row
2. Have you seen Villanova?
3. They'll find a way to choke
