had 5 babies never had it once! Seems that the darker your skin tone the more prone you are to getting it! but if it does pop up ..... it'll go shortly after birth anyway!
oh & i think you might mean pubic not public ..... hahaha ..... unless yr doing a Britney!

IFirst of all congratulations! Is this your first child? Its funny that you are asking that question. Everyone told me, if your having a boy you will have that line... I had a boy and surely didnt have that line. Is your belly very big? I carried a small belly with my son. My ob/gyn said at 40 weeks, I only looked 28 wks. The joke of if all is that my son has that line. I find that so weird. He has a cute little dark line from his belly button down. I laugh and say that was supposed to be mine. I think its different for women, it depends on how big you are and how dark your skin is. ( It shows more visable on darker women) Good luck and I hope this helped!

30 weeks pregnant and yes I have it.... I started noticing it about at 20 weeks. They say if the line goes all the way up your belly, its a boy, if it ends at the belly button, then its a girl... i am having a boy, and it goes all the way up.

Not every woman gets the brown line and not every one gets it with every pregnancy....it doesn't mean anything is wrong if you do not have it.
I didn't have one for my first daughter but did with the second two.....also when I got it it didn't appear until somewhere between 30 and 32 weeks....so there is still a chance one will show up on you.

I didn't get mine until I was around 35 weeks or so, and it never became too dark, just enough to notice it was there. But to answer your question, no, not everyone gets it...it has to do with your current skin pigmentation and how your pregnancy hormones influence it.

I haven't gotten it with any of my kids. It's one of those things that happens with some women and not with others. It's nothing to worry, and in fact, something to be glad you don't have. It doesn't hurt you to have one, but it's one less thing that has to change back after pregnancy. If you have darker skin, it could just be that it isn't showing. If you have light skin, it's probably just that you won't get one. No worries!!!

I am barely 15 weeks and i can barely see that line, on my belly. I mean its really, really light, maybe yours is too. Just look closely, at your belly.

Are you talking about that little happy trail?
I had a fur line when I was pregnant but I am dark haired.
If you are light haired you might not end up with a fur line.

Mine became ever so slightly a little darker, but I don't think anyone but myself would notice. I know it is more common in darker skinned woman than lighter skinned. So it is not uncommon to not have it.
