It can be weakeness or vulneribliity. But even more it can be admiration, a want to be like that person, emulate them, even to learn from them. It could be as simple for standing for a cause you believe in but need someone to push for you, even a character trait you feel you lack in. Don't think for a moment just because you have influence over someone they are weak, ofter they are much stronger than you. Look at napoleon, or hitler; just one man, one small one insecure; that were able to influence many from just willpower, some that feared some that admired, and the rest that had to follow the crowd or be outcasts.

Lack of critical thinking skills, if they are just following blindly.
If they agree with the person, they are not really falling under the influence.
