Depends what I'm doing. If it's walking down the street I can't go far without my MP3 player. Same for driving though I occasionally need to turn it off if I have to really concentrate. At work it feels strange if the music is off or too quiet.
It's nice having music in the background when in a bar, but on a sunny afternoon with friends and snacks and wine sat on a hill I can go without it all day.
So with that one exception, not very long at all!

I don't go long without listening to the radio or misic of the music channels. But realistically you probably don't go long at all without hearing some type of music, be it from T.V. radio shopping in a store etc.

I could go without forever especially this modern rubbish that is all Base and drums, you hear all the time it pisses me of when cars are blaring it out as load as possible, as they would not hear if anyone sounded their horn in an emergency.
It is even worse when you think that eventually that load rubbish WILL make them deaf, then they will be desperately trying to find some way to make it even loader in the vain hope they will be able to hear it.
I do like classical music and country and western, also the most of the sixties music, when there were some story to tell in it.
