Its not that we are mean, its that looking at emo from an outsider's point of view, it makes no sense to be so depressed and whiny and complain about how much your life sucks when you're sitting in front of your brand new computer your parents bought you, wearing clothes they gave you money for, eating food they provide. Some of us did not have it halfway that good growing up, and we didnt turn out whiny and overdramatic and depressed.

because people target kids to make fun of that are different than "the norm" and half the kids who claim to be emo dont even know or listen to real emo bands like rites of spring,texas is the reason,and superchunk

I'm not emo, but I think why some people dont like you is (not saying i dont :) ) because you seem unhappy and its creepy to think that you CUT your own skin because of how your feeling.
I don't understand why you cut yourself but all I wanna say is that I think your a fine person and you shouldn't be hated it will only make it worse so PEOPLE WHY THE F**K DO YOU INSULT EMO'S IT ONLY MAKES THEM FEEL WORSE AND DO IT MORE GOD WHY INSULT THEM WHEN YOU CAN BE NICE TO THEM ALL EMO INSULTER'S/HATER'S YOU SUCK GO SWALLOW A RAZOR!

hmmm . . . Why do I make fun of emo kids???
First is it because they started really shitty music that ruined modern rock? Or was it the fact that they think they are the only one with emotional problems, and feel that it's everyone else's fault?
Emo kids are kids who aren't strong enough to deal with their own problems, and instead make them a burden for other people.
I'm going to continue this rant when I get home from school.
(Also b3caus3 u talk like th15 cuz u think its kewl!!!)

cause most emo kids are SOO dramatic (i'm not saying you) but that's what i think. it's kinda like how plastic girls overly exaggerate everything happy emo kids kinda do the same but exxagerate everything to be sad and miserable
hmm.. i don't think it's the way you look either cause i could care less how other people dress really, but it's the whole "god i'm so depressed please kill me" look

ii'm not emo but ppl think emos have a low self esteem that's what i thought emos were they usually wear black with heavy eyeliner and crazy hair the color black shows that ppl are feeling low and stuff.........idk y ppl so mean to emos either......

It is because you people have taken the identity of people who are disturbed and weird....plus cutting yourself?!? No one likes people who are emotionally volatile and unstable and hate everyone else because of his/her misfortunes
