In the sports side of things, his initiative is in the right track, as almost every team you see nowadays in the high stages of the competition are G-20 members, and performances like the ones of Cverna Zvezda, Notthingam Forest and Steaua Bucuresti in the 80's and 90's are becoming extreme rarities. Platini, if he succeeds, should be able to bring the chance for us to be able to see these great performances back up again, and we'll also get some more diversity in every match.
However, in the commercial side of things, this is a bad move, as the market may not be as receptive to the increased presence of teams that may not have the same pull as other, bigger clubs. You could say that people like to see a small-time club pitted against a bigger one, with the former having a real chance to beat the latter, which is Platini's ideal situation, but in truth, you are taking the risk of losing some great audiences in the process, and the sponsors may not contribute as much.
It isn't a simple situation this one, but I think that Platini does have a point and that he should try out his plan. The Confederation may lose some money, but I think the sport is benefited in the long run, and that's the most important thing.

When Platini was elected as a chief, his agenda to the CL has not gone on well to the club managers of Eng, Spain, Ita and Ger. Clubs from this 4 countries have dominated the european scenes for more than a decade.
Perhaps with his vision, we may see more clubs from smaller countries will improve to the higher standard and increase competitions to the next level where everyone will be able to enjoy. It's easier said than done though but with his vast experience and his reputation, i believe he can improve the standard of the lesser known countries to pull in more fans to watch exciting 'total' football.

Good because it will reduce the power of rich teams and give the chance to small teams of unknown championships to develop.
Who didn't like when teams from other countries except england italy spain and germany went on finals??

Bad because his goal is to make more spaces for the lower-league champions. He'd better cancel the playoffs if he wants so.

It depends on the changes he wants to implements!
Let's just hope he is not planning to drop the standard of the game!
